The Walk for a Fearless Future
On January 22, 2022, the streets of Jaipur witnessed a sea of change. Ladli Foundation, in a prestigious partnership with MOMENTUM Routine Immunisation, organised VACCITHON, a mass mobilisation walkathon. Our goal was simple: to ensure that the most vulnerable members of our society were not left behind in the race for COVID-19 protection.

WHY WE WALKED BEYOND THE VACCINE
Restoring Health Dignity : For the underprivileged, a single illness can lead to financial ruin. By promoting 100% vaccination, we are protecting breadwinners and caregivers, ensuring that families stay intact and that children, especially girls, remain in school rather than being forced into labour.
A Symbolic Journey : The 5km walk was a ‘People’s Parade.’ By walking from the historic Albert Hall to Gandhi Circle, our 2,500 participants sent a powerful message: health is a fundamental right, not a luxury.
Strengthening the Safety Net : This wasn't just a one-day event. VACCITHON solidified a massive network between international health agencies, local NGOs, and community leaders. This network continues to act as a watchdog for routine immunisation and child healthcare in Rajasthan.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
Breaking the Taboo : The presence of thousands of local youth helped dispel myths and vaccine hesitancy in Jaipur’s most densely populated colonies.
Massive Visibility : Extensive coverage in local and national media turned a local walk into a national conversation on health equity.
Youth Leadership : Over 1,000 students acted as health ambassadors, gaining hands-on experience in public health advocacy.
