Ladli Kanya Pujan

It's an initiative to motivate privileged sections of the society to modify their version of Kanya Pujan and practice the Sustainable Kanya Pujan. To ensure that Kanya Pujan rituals are meaningful and sustainable, we have implemented several steps. Instead of giving money, we provide six months of education material to girls as a return gift, which we repeat annually until the girl reaches the age of nine. During their visits, we educate the girls on important topics such as good touch-bad touch and menstrual health and hygiene. We also provide them with sanitary kits to support their hygiene needs. Additionally, we take responsibility for their annual health check-ups and support their education by directly depositing school and tuition fees. Visiting the girl's home at least twice a year is also part of our initiative to boost their morale and protect them from exploitation or harmful practices like child marriage. We provide them with our contact number for emergencies and motivate their parents to support their education and skill development.

Dastak with Asmita

Eve teasing is an insidious social issue that affects countless women every day. It takes various forms, ranging from catcalling and sexually suggestive remarks to groping and assault. Unfortunately, society has often turned a blind eye to this growing problem, allowing it to become normalized and perpetuating a culture of harassment and misogyny.

But the street play Dastak takes a powerful stand against Eve teasing and sexual aggression in all its forms. The play uses sensitive and poignant scenes to depict the impact of Eve teasing on women's lives and urges the public to take a strong stand against harassment. It challenges the normalisation of rape culture and confronts problematic Bollywood dialogues and songs that perpetuate casual sexism.

Through the play, the public is encouraged to recognise the severity of Eve teasing and the harm it causes to women. Dastak empowers women to speak out against harassment and stand up for their rights, while also providing a platform for open dialogue and education on this crucial issue.

The implementation aims to address the social and economic challenges that daughters from disadvantaged families face. Adolescent girls and young women are given the resources they need to become independent by focusing on their health, education, and skill development. To ensure the safety and suitability of grooms, community leaders and government administration are involved in the activities, which reduces the possibility of forced marriages, human trafficking, and prostitution. The programme also offers three years of health insurance and commemorates their wedding anniversary, encouraging social support and discouraging female foeticide. Additionally, it fosters social adoption by bringing together affluent households and those who are less privileged, supporting the needs of girls in terms of health and education. Furthermore, the distribution of education and personal hygiene kits helps improve the overall well-being of adolescent girls in slums. The impact of these efforts has been significant, with successfully executed mass marriages for 1753 women, no reported cases of dowry-related domestic violence among beneficiaries, and no instances of female infanticide.

Masik Satya with Diadem

Diadem and the Ladli Foundation Trust join forces to bring about transformative change in the lives of women. Through their highly successful beauty pageants, such as Mrs. India Legacy, they empower women by nurturing self-confidence and honing essential skills. Their collaborative initiative, Masik Satya, is dedicated to creating awareness and providing education to women who lack opportunities to improve their quality of life.

These initiatives encompass a wide range of topics, from education, home management, and health to hygiene. The camps organized under Masik Satya serve as platforms for interactive sessions with professionals, fostering a deeper understanding of women's needs and challenges. Particular emphasis is placed on promoting women's education and skill development, enabling them to attain job security and financial independence.

Additionally, Diadem and the Ladli Foundation Trust aim to break the barriers surrounding reproductive health by dispelling myths and educating communities. Menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth are openly discussed, ensuring women have access to accurate information and knowledge. The initiative also addresses menstrual hygiene practices, ensuring women have access to essential sanitary napkins and feminine hygiene products.

Together, they empower women from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with the necessary tools and opportunities to thrive in life.
