Punar-Utthan (Resurgence) - Empowering Women and Families for Economic Independence
The Ladli Foundation Trust believes that "No one should be left behind”. Many women are left behind after the death of their husbands, who were the sole breadwinner of the family. Widows in India have constantly been subjected to social injustices, biases and face human rights violations.
At Ladli, we have come up with this proposed Project to uplift these vulnerable women by providing them with five years of free ration and development of their capacity building, skill development through various sessions and awareness programs which will also include sessions on financial literacy, digital learning, WASH, MHM, and job placement drives.
Under this initiative, already, 350 families were provided advanced computer skill training and Employment along with training on sensitive issues like women's legal rights, menstrual hygiene management, financial literacy, etc.
CAUSE
The COVID-19 pandemic left many families devastated, especially those who lost their main income earners. Without financial literacy or employable skills, women in these families face significant economic challenges, further compounded by limited access to resources. Punar-Utthan addresses these needs by providing skill-building, awareness programs, and job support, fostering sustainable livelihoods for women who are determined to overcome their circumstances.
OUR ACTION
Under Punar-Utthan, Ladli Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive support framework, including:
Skill Development and Advanced Training : Practical courses in advanced computer skills and vocational training equip women with valuable expertise, enhancing their employability.

Awareness Programs on Key Issues : Sessions covering women’s legal rights, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), financial literacy, women’s rights, and life education provide participants with crucial knowledge for informed, empowered living.
Job Placement and Employment Support : Ladli Foundation facilitates job fairs and placement opportunities, ensuring that participants are connected with reliable employment pathways for long-term self-reliance.
