E-Pathanshala Digital & STEM Learning Initiative
Need
Educational inequality in India widened significantly after the pandemic, particularly for children from low-income communities who lacked access to online learning. Many children continue to struggle with learning loss, poor foundational literacy, and limited exposure to digital tools.
Without intervention, these gaps can permanently impair educational attainment, employability, and social mobility. Bridging the digital divide is therefore essential to ensuring equitable learning opportunities.

Objective
The E-Pathanshala Digital Learning Initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing technology-enabled learning opportunities to children from underserved communities.
Tools/Activities
The initiative establishes digital classrooms, community learning centres, and technology access hubs to support foundational learning, remedial education, and digital literacy.

Intervention Strategy
The initiative combines digital content, volunteer-led tutoring, blended learning models, and access to devices and internet-enabled learning environments. It especially focuses on children whose education was disrupted due to poverty, migration, or lack of digital access.
Theory of Change
If children from marginalised communities gain access to digital learning infrastructure, quality educational support, and future-ready skills, then they will improve their learning outcomes, confidence, and long-term employability prospects. Over time, this will contribute to improved educational equity and social inclusion.
