The construction of over 95 million toilets in India since October 2014 is undoubtedly a significant achievement in improving sanitation infrastructure. However, a crucial concern that arises is the maintenance of these toilets. The condition of public toilets in schools, colleges, and public places is often alarming and poses a serious threat to women's health. Dirty and unhygienic toilets can contribute to infections and cross-contamination, putting women's lives at risk, including the risk of pathological leukorrhea, uterine infections, and cervical cancer.

To address this concern, we focused not only on the construction of toilets but also on their proper maintenance and cleanliness. This requires regular cleaning, adequate supply of water and hygiene products, and proper waste management and for the same MHM and WASH workshops were conducted.
