Thematic Areas

Human Rights & Gender Equality

Human rights are inherent to all human beings, regardless of race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or status. We believe in promoting these fundamental rights, especially for women. We fight for women to have the right to determine their own choices, promote a sense of self-worth, and influence social change for themselves and others. We fight for the sexual and reproductive rights of women. We amplify women’s voices, especially from marginalized communities. Women must have equal rights to participate in education, the economy, politics, and society. For a peaceful and happy society, achieving human rights, including gender equality, is a fight we all must fight.

Menstrual Hygiene & Management

Menstruation is a naturally occurring physiological phenomenon in adolescent girls and pre-menopausal women. Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) refers to access to menstrual hygiene products to absorb or collect the flow of blood during menstruation, privacy to change the materials, and access to facilities to dispose of used menstrual management materials. Statistics suggest that 23% of girls drop out of school when they start menstruating. We aim to enable them and empower them. We organize awareness campaigns to learn the importance of correct menstrual hygiene and adopt sustainable menstrual practices, which they can then pass on to their daughters.

Mental health has become an increasingly concerning and complex issue in our lives today, with little effort into comprehending its complexities. We open a dialogue, sensitize and promote awareness on mental health and offer a safe space for people to seek help. Through mental health counselling and support systems, we help people recover and build resilience. We work on innovative models that are easily adaptable, replicable and maintainable in your daily life.

Preventive Healthcare & Health Support

Preventive care can drastically increase your lifespan because it allows you to notice symptoms early and treat them easily and efficiently. Raising more awareness about health helps people stay healthy and boosts their personal growth and well-being. We support healthcare by generating awareness by implementing various government health programs and addressing health and sanitation issues, with a particular focus on women and children in urban slums and rural areas. We bring into focus critical health-related issues that need urgent attention. We also carry out health checkups, and HIV-infected children and women are given the required counselling.

Substance abuse prevention is a process that attempts to prevent the onset of substance use or limit the development of problems associated with using psychoactive substances. Prevention efforts focus on the individual or their surroundings. We work on the four-way conceptual prevention approach: risk factor, developmental, social influence, and community-specific. We have integrated sports and dance with awareness campaigns, which have helped thousands of youths.

Education

Education is essential for the normal development of an individual. Education develops leadership qualities through self-confidence and self-esteem. Social awareness, political awareness, and health awareness can be better understood with the help of education. We aim to educate and develop a gender consciousness among women. At Ladli, we amplify women’s voices, especially those of women from marginalized communities. We protest for the sexual and reproductive rights of women. We are working on starting a dialogue on eliminating maternal mortality and addressing sexually transmitted infections (STIs), cervical cancer, violence against women and girls, and the sexual and health needs of adolescents.

Skill Development

Sustainable livelihoods are possible by providing skills for economic growth and inclusive development. Interventions are made focusing on marginalized communities to secure livelihood opportunities, enhance related skills, and increase income in rural and urban India. The marginalized communities are organized, supported, and networked into a movement of a different kind for economic empowerment by providing an ecosystem of entrepreneurial growth, leading to socio-economic sustainability and improving quality of life. Our objective is to make citizens self-reliant by nurturing specific skills in them. We try to achieve this goal through the latest technologies and existing resources. We have been actively empowering the poor and women to have a better life.

Empower Disabled People

Disabled people are a large minority group, starved of services and mostly ignored by society, living in isolation, segregation, poverty, charity, and even pity. Disability includes blindness, low vision, leprosy-cured hearing impairment, locomotor disability, mental retardation, and mental illness. We help teach them to use adaptive and assistive equipment. Encourage them to carry out tasks independently as much as possible. Seek opportunities for the patient to socialize with others, make choices, and be as independent and self-reliant as possible. We are committed to the cause of removing the taboo of disability. We provide financial support for the training and placement of people with disabilities. We also arrange special job fairs for the disabled community.

Yoga & Meditation

Yoga, an ancient Indian practice of uniting the mind and body, has been globally revered for focusing on an individual's overall well-being. Yoga helps increase beta-endorphin hormone release from the brain, providing a sense of well-being and improved immunity. Meditation represents the "positive, mindful focus of the present." It is a mental and spiritual activity with multiple physical benefits. It helps reduce stress and stress-related physical issues. It helps in decreasing the levels of inflammatory chemicals like cytokines. These chemicals play a role in affecting an individual's mood and can also lead to depression. Meditation controls these chemicals and reduces their release. All in all, these aspects then lead to a balanced and sustainable lifestyle for all.

Sustainable Living

Sustainable living is a concept that is lost to many in this generation, which could ultimately lead to the demise of the idea of "net-zero living" unless efforts are made at an individual level to turn it around. The Sustainable Development Goals agenda of 2030 is an idea that is yet to be fully matured and assimilated by the general population. We aim to achieve sustainable living as a primary goal through many development programs, such as yoga and meditation. Our age-old Vedic techniques and practices drive the sustainable living agenda of the foundation and help eradicate factors that dismantle the ecology.

Technical Acceleration

Our goal is to develop a sound infrastructure, which will help us build a team of well- equipped grassroots-level volunteers, professionals, and leaders to reach the maximum number of beneficiaries with our initiatives and successfully execute them on the field. This includes creating a more digitally and technologically sound infrastructure, a more extensive and inclusive social network, and an improved research and analysis mechanism.

Sustainable Replicability

Each of our initiatives aims to build a continuous process of social work. How they are designed is easy to learn and can be implemented in daily life by anyone who believes in service and is passionate about society. Thus, creating a ripple of continuous change and making a chain of changemakers enforcing sustainable replicability.

Outreach, Growth and Development

We are determined to expand our reach to all developing countries. We want to involve social enthusiasts from all over the world in our programs and help them discover the reality of our society. We focus on developing the right kind of data required to establish projects and programs suitable to the needs of targeted beneficiaries. We wish to seek out potential changemakers across the globe and provide them with an opportunity to bring their skills to the table by participating in our social programs. We aim to create a chain of these budding changemakers who would then provide all with a sense of hope and support, thereby increasing the community of those with a passion for substantial growth and development in society.

Ideas, Research & Innovations

We design our projects based on our innovative action-research initiatives, specially designed for holistic development and overall growth. Our main beneficiaries are young females belonging to the underprivileged section of society. Through our initiatives and outreach activities, we have provided our target communities with several benefits. We have successfully sensitized the masses to concerns such as menstrual health and hygiene, WASH, sexual abuse, the prevention of communicable diseases like HIV, STDs, COVID-19, family planning, and gender equality. We have conducted multi-dimensional and in-depth research on several concerns in society, such as female healthcare, minority group females, human trafficking, LGBTQIA+ identity, disability, and COVID-19.
