Ladli Foundation USA is a public charity non-profit organization registered in the United States as a NJ non-profit corporation and granted federal income tax-exemption status under 501(C)(3).
It is an international wing of Ladli Foundation Trust, India. Ladli is an organization conferred with the National Award by the Government of India for its grassroots-level non-profit work. It is known for implementing incredibly impactful and innovative social initiatives to uplift vulnerable people in urban and rural slums. For this, in 2020, it was granted Special Consultative Status at the United Nations ECOSOC for having served over one million beneficiaries through its action-research initiatives promoting sustainable living to achieve the UN SDGs.
In India, the organization is actively working at the national level with district administrations and government departments with its effective community outreach and sustainable approach.
Ladli Foundation was recently recognized by the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, during the 65th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women to raise the voice to prioritize the agenda of women’s health and the elimination of child marriages in developing countries for achieving gender equality (SDG 5).

“The organization recently received recognition for its efforts in providing digital education access to more than 157,000 marginalized students, resulting in a significant impact valued at INR 600 crore (approximately 75 million USD). Additionally, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Delhi Government to implement its social innovation, aimed at delivering a sustainable solution to eradicate malnutrition among 4,00,000 marginalized students in Delhi.” During the 65th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women, the organization received recognition from the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, for its advocacy in prioritizing women's health and the elimination of Child marriages in developing countries are part of the efforts to achieve gender equality (SDG 5). Furthermore, the organization has partnered with USAID to facilitate the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination campaigns in remote districts of India. Over the past decade, the organization has successfully implemented various significant events and initiatives. These include a major gender sensitization movement achieved through a half-marathon and street plays, the International Kanya-Pujan event aimed at promoting girls education and healthcare while respecting traditional beliefs, the Saheli Primary healthcare and sensitization camps held in slums, and the Pathanshaala mobile education classes targeting street and slum children, the Shagun Mass Weddings initiative to combat child marriages and trafficking, the groundbreaking JOSH initiative diverting young boys from drug abuse and crimes through sports and skill training, and the provision of dry ration, milk, and personal hygiene kits to migrants and labourers during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.
